The Stow Company is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Process Technician located in Nampa, Idaho. We are the country’s premier source for custom closets and organizational solutions; designed, custom-cut, and shipped directly to our clients.

Primary Purpose of Position:

• Monitors and adjusts equipment controls as needed.
• Ensures optimal performance of product manufacturing equipment and controls.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Eliminate equipment downtime by tracking problems to their root cause and correcting them.
• Make software modifications as needed to cutting, edge banding, routing, and drilling equipment.
• Take the lead on problem solving low voltage / controls problems on the machinery
• Adapt new products to the existing manufacturing processes.
• Write and modify programs for cutting, edge banding, routing, and drilling equipment.
• Support engineering staff in the development of new processes for manufacturing.
• Construct test fixtures and complete equipment upgrades as needed.
• Occasionally work with outside vendors to procure new equipment and/or software to improve the production process.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

• 2 – 4 year technical degree preferred, or equivalent experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Management Ability – Evidence of superior people skills.
• Proven leadership and motivational skills
• Good project management skills
• Ability to communicate difficult issues with others.
• Ability to learn Auto-Cad, Auto-Cad Electrical, and various programming software environments.
• Ability to learn and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controller programs.
• Good troubleshooting skills and mechanical inclination.
• 1 to 2 years related experience preferred.
• Good PC skills required.
• Intense personal commitment to continuous improvement.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Sitting at workstation approximately 20 percent of work time
• Standing and walking approximately 80 percent of work time
• Must be able to travel between plant and office locations
• Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice
• Manufacturing environment with multiple machinery and moving parts

The Stow Company may temporarily assign any team member with duties outside of their normal responsibilities. Such assignments may be warranted due to a variety of specific requirements, conditions and/or the capabilities of available personnel. Management will determine the nature and duration of those assignments.
