Yard Spotter

Pay:
- $1200 average weekly pay
- $20/hr
- $200 safety bonus quarterly
- $150 per holiday
Schedule:
- Mon-Friday 530am-5pm, Sat-Sun 6am-2pm
- Rotating Schedule
Workload:
- Jockey trailers on the IP yard and shuttle containers to the dock facility apprx 1 mile down the road (private road)
- Driver must be able to withstand the physical demands of a spotter in an industrial setting in good an bad weather.
- Requires getting in & out of a spotter continuously for a 12hr shift, setting jack stands, emplacing wheel chocks and driving over paved and unimproved surfaces.
- High standards of safety, personal appearance, adherence to all procedures, and prompt and courteous customer service are expected at all times. includes wearing of PPE, working as a team and with another spotter, watching out for each other and safety getting the job done daily.
- Weekly and quarterly safety incentives are available for the safety minded drivers with the right work ethic.
- Online training is required upon hiring.

Job Requirements:
- Must have a Class A CDL in NC
- TWIC card preferred
- No job hoppers
Minimum Experience (Tractor Trailer/OTR)
- At least 1-year experience in the past 3 years, with comparable equipment
- At least 2 years experience in the past 5 years, with comparable equipment
- Local experience will count if the driver has been driving in the same states as the regional position*
MVR Driving Record:
- No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years and no more than 4 in the past 5 years
- No suspension, revocation, or cancellation as a result of a moving violation or accident in the past 5 years
- No preventable DOT recordable accidents in the past 5 years
- Cannot have more than 2 moving violations and/or preventable accidents within the past 3 years (citations or convictions). Accidents/violations with the same date count as 1 event.
Non-MVR Driving Record:
- Candidates with more than 2 preventable accidents/incidents within the previous 3 years need to be reviewed by the recruiting manager
Other disqualifications:
- All convictions DUI/DWI must be at least 8 years old, only 1 in a lifetime, never in a commercial vehicle
- Cannot currently hold an "Occupational" or "Restricted" license
- No fatal accidents from violating traffic law or negligence
- No failing or refusing Drug or Alcohol test
