Senior Financial Planning & Analyst – Charlotte, NC
You will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis within Ashley Distribution (ADS) operations as well as measuring the cost and benefits of strategic projects. Working as a key member of the ADS financial team, you will improve business decisions through a deep understanding of cost drivers, constraint management and correlative key performance indicators. You will act as a business partner to senior management in proactive cost reduction through root cause analysis.
What Will You Do?
- Produce, daily, weekly, monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting.
- Create forecast and develop financial model that provide guidance and insight for the business leaders to make decisions.
- Based on data and organization objectives track KPI’s, drive efficiency, and cost reduction initiative and holding business accountable.
- Assist in the budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes, working cross-functionally to influence stakeholders
- Prepare and lead Monthly Operating Reviews through preparation of schedules and presentations for senior management that clearly communicate operational and financial performance,
- Track business KPIs and prepare recurring financial reports in partnership with accounting and business stakeholders
- Works in collaboration with other analysts in the team and makes recommendations to reporting needs
- Identify opportunities for automation withing the FP&A organization
- Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of industry trends and FP&A best practices
- Ability to adjust within a fast-paced work environment and rapidly changing industry.
- Assist with developing new financial system as required by management and as directed by growth of the organization.
- Works in collaboration with accounting and corporate FP&A team
What Do You Need?
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA finance / CPA / CMA a must.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, and Accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling. Working knowledge of Planful and Power BI would be helpful but not necessary for the right candidate.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to accuracy and detail required
- Come with a learning aptitude and ability to jump in and contribute to adhoc projects and reports. Should be able to identify trends and be curious to dig deeper.
- Ability to collaborate, build relationship with business in understanding their reporting needs and generate timely and meaningful reports to enable decision making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Background in transportation industry helpful, but not necessary.
