The general role of an Sr. Electrical Foreman is to lead electrical work and direct the installation, maintenance, and repair of various electrical components within customer locations. This individual will work with both low and high voltage electrical applications, and work in a wide array of industries including Construction, Manufacturing, Power Plants, Commercial, Aggregate, Oil and Gas, Coal, Wind Energy, etc.

The position must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes extensive travel, out-of-town work, weekends, extended hours, and call-out work. The Sr. Electrical Foreman will report to the Department Manager - Electrical and will work primarily out of their assigned location.

Pillar Innovations is currently accepting applications for a Sr. Electrical Foreman.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform as a working Foreman to participate in, plan, and direct day-to-day electrical work as required for the completion of multiple larger, more complex projects and assignments
  • Coordinate with management to determine project scope, goals, schedules, budgets, risk management and resource management to ensure that jobs are on-time, on-budget, and meet Code requirements and customer expectations
  • Implement project plans, timelines, material coordination, job sequencing, and labor requirements
  • Identify potential problems and provide effective solutions and problem-resolution
  • Lead multiple teams in installing and testing new equipment
  • Facilitate remote projects from start to finish and coordinate and direct all aspects including tools, material and manpower needs, scope, coordination with subcontractors and customers, etc.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial facilities
  • Install basic and more complex electrical components such as motor control centers, transformers, instrumentation, switch gears, PLC controls, etc.
  • Read, follow, and mark up electrical code, manuals, wiring and circuitry diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and other electrical specifications
  • Assess jobs to determine material, tool, and equipment needs and provide guidance to other electricians as needed
  • Coordinate with inspectors and other trades as needed
  • Provide detailed paperwork and documentation to ensure accurate record keeping, billing and inventory
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner to answer customer needs and requests as necessary
  • Communicate and coordinate with customers to ensure successful job completion
  • Identify potential value-added sales opportunities to increase company revenue
  • Obtain prior customer approval for any change orders and accurately track change orders through final payment
  • Provide ongoing feedback to management regarding employee performance, production, and placement
  • Provide feedback and input for employee performance reviews
  • Complete paperwork and documentation for accurate record keeping
  • Train and mentor personnel as required
  • Support and mentor Electrical Foremen
  • Assist other electricians with training and licensing test preparation
  • Assist with interpretation and proper implementation of the NEC (National Electric Code)

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of electrical experience or equivalent/relevant education preferred
  • 5+ years of Industrial Electrical experience required
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Possession a WV Master Electrician’s License required
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), electrical theory, and AC and DC circuits
  • Ability to utilize tools and diagnostic devices relevant to the electrical trade
  • Ability to read, interpret, and markup electrical drawings, circuitry, and schematics
  • Must be dependable; trustworthy; and possess a positive and productive attitude
  • Demonstrated leadership and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex projects
  • Demonstrated estimating skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work well with others and act in a respectful manner towards co-workers and customers
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately
  • Ability to take accurate measurements
  • Competent with Microsoft Software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
