Network2Work (N2W)
POSITION GUIDE
Reports to: Operations and Project Director
Funding: Grant Funded Position aligning with grant period of performance
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
Major Functions: The Project Manager will work with the Project Director in all aspects of grant implementation and management and will understand grant implementation processes and provide support for execution of defined processes. This position will be responsible for assistance in building, implementing, and delivering Network2Work services in the Shenandoah Valley. This is a start-up workforce initiative so job duties vary greatly and require an individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and attitude who is willing to perform activities at every level to support successful implementation of Network2Work.
Project Manager Responsibilities:
Team and Process Management:
· Works with the Project Director to on-board and train a team of N2W service delivery staff across the region.
· Works with Project Director to develop and implement processes, as well as evaluate and support continuous system improvement.
· Serves as the first point of contact for process questions and concerns.
· Identifies and addresses process problems promptly.
· Organizes people and activities to accomplish results.
· Effectively communicates and coordinates with management, N2W staff, partners and stakeholders.
· Collaborates with N2W staff and partners to develop a system of best practices.
· Coordinate with the Project Director to provide information for Board of Directors and Advisory Council reports.
Technology:
· Become a system expert through in-depth training on the N2Work application. High technical aptitude is required for this position.
· Work with resource providers, nonprofit organizations, and employers to gather information to submit for entry into the N2Work application to build the Provider Network.
· Work with Network2Work@PVCC staff and other Network2Work sites on system improvement through Communities of Practice participation.
· Assist Project Director in reporting, spot checks and overall system quality assurance measures.
· Serve as the first point of contact for the Shenandoah Valley team for technical questions and concerns related to the application.
Outreach Activities:
- Attend outreach and networking activities as necessary and adhere to the Network2Work Communication Plan.
- Provide general information to interested community members, employers, and partners as they inquire, refer to appropriate contacts for extensive information.
Financial:
· Adhere to the provided project budget and assist Project Director in reporting and tracking financial information working with the Finance Director and Grant Accountant.

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in business administration, public administration, governmental administration, workforce development, or equivalent experience.
· Experience in successfully implementing projects and proven ability to meet and exceed goals is strongly preferred.
· Experience in database management and administration preferred.
· Team management and supervisory experience preferred.
Working Relationships:
· Internal: Interacts with all levels of staff and management on a daily basis to give and gather information, and to create a working environment of open exchange, positive morale, and advancement of the N2W objectives and SVWDB’s mission and vision.
· External: Interacts with program participants, resource providers, and employers, as well as supplemental training providers on a daily basis to provide oversight, communicate program information and provide information as needed.
· Supervision Received:
The Network2Work Project Manager works under the supervision of the Operations and Project Director to implement Network2Work, as well as the vision and strategic plan of the Shenandoah Valley Workforce Development Board. This position is subject to review by and through observation of results achieved. The Operations and Project Director will conduct a formal annual performance review.

· Written communication. Continuously to correspond with staff, boards, committees, contractors, partner agencies, local, state, and federal government representatives and agencies.
· Verbal communication. Continuously to converse, present information, data, and reports.
· Hearing. Continuously to listen to information presented in venues ranging from phone calls to large seating auditoriums. Accommodations such as hearing devices and hearing loops may be utilized.
· Firm grasping. Frequently to perform job function and handle equipment.
· Fine manipulating. Continuously to use equipment, telephone, fax, computer, copier, and printer.
· Lifting. Frequently to transport materials, refreshments, files, handouts and equipment. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
