Job description
Performs advocacy, education, coordination of care, and counseling services for oncology patients. Supports team, system and organizational goals. Uses critical thinking skills to obtain best possible outcomes. Promotes lifelong learning and evidence-based practice to improve the care of patients with a past current or potential diagnosis of cancer.Leads Commission on Cancer Accreditation efforts. Participates in screening events in facility. Collaborate with community partners. Navigate patients through the continuum of care.
Minimum Education
- Associates Degree
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant clinical service preferred.
Required Skills
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- BLS required
- Current license to practice in NC for relevant field.
