General Clerk I
***Working remotely 75% of the time until further notice***
The Department of the Navy Office of Civilian Human Resources located in Miramar, CA is seeking General Clerk I’s. Temporarily working partly remote and rotating into the office. Great potential to be hired on as a civil servant.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday
Hours: 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m
25% of time will be spent in office for meetings and or scanning documents
Pay:
$16.20 per hour - Health and Welfare in addition to hourly pay.

Job Description
· Reporting and Metrics tracking, updating daily. Reports are pulled from multiple web and computer base and data bases or excel spreadsheets average report is 100 per month
· Pull supplies from inventory and fulfill supply request form customer departments and distribute bulk supplies such as paper toner
· Respond to applicant inquiries via phone, in person or online
· Document building, scanning, filing, printing, copying and import. Documents are assembled for use in training or other uses, selected paper documents are scanned to file or documents received via email are saved or uploaded to appropriate media
· Receive and distribute mail or prepare for outbound mail including certified mail and packages
· Respond to facility request, ranging from paper recycling to basic clean up.
· Perform clerical and administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, coordinating office meetings, receiving and disseminating information, uses SharePoint portal and uses excel to follow up on due dates and suspense reports with personnel and provide status, reviewing.
Requirements
· Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
· Minimum
· Word – create, modify, and edit original documents, correspondences, and memos
· Outlook – manage multiple calendars, draft original emails, and manage contact lists
· Excel – create, modify, and edit original workbooks including use of multi-cell formulas, creating charts and graphs, and manipulation of imported data from other sources
· Use Adobe fillable forms
· Knowledge and ability to learn DOD/DON software programs (ASARS, DCPDS)
· Have good verbal communication skills to include proper use of English Grammar
· Type 40 WPM
· High School Diploma
· US Citizen
