Director of Business Administration
New Meridian Corporation, located in Austin, TX seeks outstanding candidates for a Director of Business Administration. This position, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, will support the organization's achievement of strategic, operational, and financial goals. The Director of Business Administration will be responsible for driving business processes and information management in a way that facilitates operational execution, increases profitability, and encourages innovation and accuracy. Our candidate will understand the work required to harmonize efficient daily processes and the business intelligence needed to achieve operational excellence. Candidates interested in this position should have extensive analytical and contracting experience, strong interpersonal skills, as well as a good working knowledge of best practices in contract negotiation, business process efficiencies, and business reporting and analysis, including data integrity, KPI analysis, validation, documentation, and organization.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

SUMMARY: We are seeking a results-driven and ethical Director of Business Administration with strong leadership and interpersonal skills and a proven record of increasing business intelligence and easing process pain points to streamline day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will help enhance transparency and efficiency of daily operations through the design and management of contractual, customer, vendor, and business activity information via data warehouses, CRM, knowledge management systems and other information management tools. The ideal candidate will have experience negotiating contractual arrangements and coordinating/supporting the entire contract lifecycle across many stakeholder groups. Noteworthy candidates can demonstrate their ability to guide operating methods and streamline procedures and policies to harmonize siloed operations and optimize the business model, The candidate must possess a passion for solving business problems utilizing technology, creative thinking, logic, instituting policy, and procedures, keen business acumen and deep integrity.

EXPECTED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Advance the mission of New Meridian by understanding all aspects of the business to define, construct & connect data & information across functions making it usable in ways that optimize business processes, grow our knowledge base & enhance our capacity for scale.
  • Collaborate with all management and staff to evaluate, identify and deliver the required administrative support operations for the organization.
  • Design, facilitate and optimize key business and administrative processes, procedures and supporting policies. (e.g., internal workflows, contract management, procurement, corporate compliance, etc.)
  • Negotiate and approve favorable contracts and agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Secure and maintain the organization’s compliance with regulatory, certification and government agencies
  • Liaise and consult with clients, executives, staff, and vendors about operations.
  • Understand sales-to-order process balancing business objectives and internal controls. Communicate the implications of a deal construct with regards to revenue, profitability, internal capacity, and impact on future deals.
  • Perform analysis and implement strategies to improve the capture, tracking, sharing accuracy and management of key business information.
  • Establish baseline metrics and analytics related to administrative performance, including collaborating with Business Operations and the leadership team to track and report all key performance indicators against annual, quarterly and monthly goals.
  • Working closely with Business Operations and Finance team, be a key player in developing and maintaining management dashboards, reports, and communications that will drive business outcomes.
  • Act as a key stakeholder to support the phased implementation of New Meridian’s CRM platform.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for performance improvement across the organization.
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative or business field (Business Administration, Finance, etc.)
  • 5 years of experience in business administration, including 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Broad knowledge of business departments and functions, and knowledge of best operations practices.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other enterprise relational databases (CRM).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data query/data management tools (i.e. Access, SQL, Business Objects).
  • Basic understanding of GAAP.
  • Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage other high priority work.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and tactful interpersonal/people skills with the ability to work successfully with a variety of personalities.
  • Strong leadership qualities and supervisory skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
