Warranty Advisor – Direct Hire

Fridley, MN

Currently looking for a skilled individual to fill a Direct Hire Warranty Advisor position with a company in Fridley, MN. Interested candidates should have 2 years of technical engine experience, primarily in diesel troubleshooting, and strong computer and communication skills.

Warranty Advisor Job Description:

• Speak to various customers to identify, diagnose, and discuss repair options to mitigate customer downtime and repair costs - Provide customer with claim status updates
• Administer warranty activity based on the warranty policy as written and determine when a situation needs to be escalated
• Define and order repair parts where required
• Determine if plant inspections are required vs replacing or repairing in the field
• Review repair orders & approve expenses to be paid & discuss discrepancies with the customer
• Negotiate repair rates based on our published rates
• Communicate with production, engineering and purchasing regarding any issues related to defects in material and/or workmanship
• Maintain email, voicemail, and any other lines of communication with the customer
• Upload photos, build files, customer invoices, repair orders and any other pertinent information to claim - Create and maintain detailed files/notes on warranty claims
• Provide technical assistance to installers

Warranty Advisor Job Requirement:

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Previous experience working with warranty claims
• Minimum of 2 years technical engine experience, primarily in diesel troubleshooting
• Even tempered personality with the ability to diffuse upset customers
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including customer service & phone skills
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, email, internet, all-data, etc.)
• Ability to sit at a desk and use hands to type and answer phones

The starting salary for the Warranty Advisor position is $60,000-$70,000 annually DOE
