Our client provides fully integrated EPC services to the onshore and offshore oil and gas community, on a global scale. Their team in Southern California specializes in the areas of LNG, Ethylene, Petrochemical, and Refining.

They are looking for a Technology Development Manager in Claremont, CA.

The successful candidate will manage a group to effectively carry-out product development activities in the Technology group.

Responsibilities:
  • To co-ordinate multiple small projects with leads, vendors and the company's corporate Technology product leads.
  • Manage day to day activities for the R&D and DOE studies.
  • Supervise and provide mentorship to new graduate engineers.
  • To provide and/or arrange relevant technical support for the team.
  • To participate in scheduling and planning product development activities with program leads, scheduling group and director.
  • Conduct regular meetings with program leads to ensure progress, schedule adherence and resolve bottlenecks if any.
  • Keep pace with technology development in the industry in the relevant product lines.
  • Lead patent disclosure and application activities.
  • Provide regular updates to management and Technology group via PowerPoint presentations.
  • To participate in internal meetings and discussions for strategy development, resource management and planning.
  • Develop ideas and new programs for new fiscal year Technology funding.
  • Budgeting, invoicing as applicable.
  • Some travel, domestic and international, may be required.
Qualifications:
  • B.S. in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of ten years process or mechanical engineering experience
  • Minimum of five years of managerial or supervisory experience
  • Knowledgeable in hydrogen (various colors), syngas, ethylene, CO2 capture and other energy transition technologies and relevant unit operations.
  • Experience in patent applications / patent surveys is a plus.


Salary range: $13000-$165000 (depending on experience).
