Piston Automotive Corporate (Redford, MI) is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist!
The Talent Acquisition Specialist leads recruiting, hiring activities, compliance reporting relative to recruiting, and other projects as assigned. The Talent Acquisition Specialist places special focus on sourcing, interviewing, assessing, and processing candidates for positions throughout the company. In this role, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be entrusted with an ongoing quest to discover talent, build a strong employment brand, and ensure strong relationships with candidates, employees, and hiring managers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Lead full life-cycle recruitment for exempt salaried positions including but not limited to requisition submission and approval, job posting, initial candidate contact, managing and coordinating the interview process, offer approval and extension, and coordinating new hire onboarding
- Management for our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) including being a lead user admin
- Analyze open requisitions and work with hiring managers to advertise the vacancy through appropriate channels
- Assist in the development and management of Piston’s college relations strategy to build a strong foundation for recruiting and relationships with colleges. Partnering with our parent company and cross-business unit teams as required
- Write, edit, and maintain job descriptions files as necessary
- Monitor prospective candidates; assist hiring managers to conduct interviews when required, and aide in determining the suitability of applicants for employment.
- Lead contact and management of our employee referral program
- Analyze, track, and monitor diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) recruitment
- Focus on recruitment Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including time-to-fill, time-to-hire, time open, etc. Partnering with Corporate HR Manager, Site HR Teams, Hiring Managers, and Senior Leadership to develop action plans when KPIs are out of standard
- Lead contact and management of new hire welcome kit distribution
- Manage the pre-employment screening process including submitting background checks, substance screens, and processing assessments
- Support Corporate HR Manager with tracking, maintaining, and reporting on recruiting and hiring activities. Ensuring that hiring remains in compliance with federal regulations on EEO and Affirmative Action
- Support Corporate HR Manager, Site HR Managers, and hiring managers with compensation package recommendations based on internal and external factors
- Support overall Corporate HR department with other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- 3-5 years of experience in a Talent Acquisition, Full Lifecycle Recruitment, or related role required
- 2-3 years of experience utilizing state and federal employment laws required
- 2-3 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
Outlook) required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent related experience
- Prior experience working in an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) preferred
- Technical and automotive industry recruitment experience preferred
- Experience with and understanding of staffing key performance indicators and identifying sourcing techniques
- Experience and expertise in a variety of interviewing skills and techniques.
- Able to interact with internal and external customers
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to give and receive feedback appropriately
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality in interpersonal interaction
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position will be performed in a hybrid Corporate Office/Remote setting. This position will have minimum exposure to weather conditions.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
