Talent Acquisition Specialist

The tasks of the Talen Acquisition & Advancement Partner include delivering and implementing strategy within the area of responsibility and in alignment with Group directives and the HR (Human Resource) strategy. As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will provide input to ensure that teams consist of diverse, qualified individuals while ensuring that staffing needs are being met with a long term strategy in mind. You will devise and implement sourcing strategies, such as an employer branding initiative, to build pipelines for potential applicants and create and implement end to end hiring processes to ensure a positive experience for candidates while forming close relationships with hiring managers to ensure clear expectations for candidates and interviewers. This position reports to the Division HR Leader for EL Power Conversion (ELPC). This position is NOT eligible for remote work and is expected to be located on-site in our Plano, TX offices.

Your responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers and HRBPs (Human Resources Business Partners) to gain an understanding of the business needs and respective talent requirements to create candidate profiles
- Use various methods to recruit and network with potential candidates including social media platforms, networking events and job fairs
- Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria and collaborate with hiring managers to develop cohesive strategies for recruitment and meeting hiring goals
- Assist in the development of short and long term recruitment strategies for continuous process improvement
- Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks
- Work closely with management on all diversity initiatives involving recruitment to ensure fairness in hiring practices
- Create job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position
- Compile lists of most suitable candidates by assessing their CVs (Curriculum vitae), portfolios and references
- Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline
- Using standardized screening techniques and conduct preliminary interviews to assess the skills, qualifications and experience of potential candidates
- Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with key stakeholders
- Communicate with candidates and applicants via phone interviews and through written resources
- Attend campus recruiting events to attract student talent from diverse backgrounds for experienced and internship roles (seasonal travel required)
- Provide recruiting analytics on a weekly basis
- Update and maintain Applicant Tracking System (ATS) with current information to assist in recruiting and placement efforts
- Research and review potential recruiting resources for process improvement and implementation
- Comply with all federal and state laws and company policies regarding recruitment
- Assist with annual Internship program development and implementation
- Ensure proper onboarding for new hires and the necessary paperwork is completed promptly and accurately
- Partner with hiring managers, HRBPs and talent partners to verify offer details, create offer letters
- Process all internal tracking and paperwork for system accuracy and data management
- Coordinate onboarding logistics for each candidate, providing details and follow up on any required tasks and ensuring cleared to start accuracy
- Generate, analyze and distribute metrics on hiring funnel to key stakeholders and management
- Support Talent Acquisition team with ad hoc requests regarding the hiring and onboarding processes
- Facilitate first day logistics support for hiring managers and HRBPs
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) in human resources management or similar field required
- 5+ years of full cycle recruiting experience in a corporate or staffing environment required
- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems
- Experience in full cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
- Proficiency with social media, resume databases and professional networks
- Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
- Proficient with recruiting through external job boards including LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Recruiter and CareerBuilder to proactively source candidates
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
