PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of the Senior Director, Safeway Albertsons is full ownership of the Safeway Albertsons business for Red Bull North America (RBNA). The role leads Red Bull's sales efforts across all HQ and divisions by driving key objectives - both quantitative (revenue, volume, profit, and share) and qualitative (in store presence, top retail relationships, training and development, etc.). Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Large Format Sales, they will lead a unique team of National and Key Account professionals to implement Red Bull's Retail Sales strategies. Key responsibilities include: coaching and developing direct reports; owning account budgets and key performance indicators (KPI's) while developing productive business relationships; and building joint business plans with senior leadership at key retailers. The role owns delivery against chain account plans, activities, and results.

STRATEGIC BUSINESS PLANNING
- Develop long-term strategies and specific initiatives for company direction, focus area, key customers, market parameters and resources.
- Aggregate and analyze large amounts of complex data quickly, and distill that data into clear, viable action plans.
- Drive the annual business planning process for Safeway Albertsons key accounts teams, channel programs, initiatives, and tactics.
- Monitor market trends and maintain timely data on competition.
OVERSIGHT OF ALL KEY ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
- Lead the developments of all HQ call points and relationships, and manage regional execution across all divisions/banners through direct reports.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with senior management across key retail partners through thought leadership and strategic partnerships.
- Issue clear direction and guidelines with regards to priorities - both qualitative and quantitative.
- Evaluate % ROI for each account and creates benchmark system to rate investments and make adjustments as needed.
- Ensure visibility agreements for multi-location product placement and quality planogram maintenance; create 'best-in-class' expectations with regards to merchandising and pricing to be implemented across channel.
- Challenge top Key Accounts to outpace annual business growth; call on major retailers to leverage Red Bull's assets and drive differentiation from competitors.
LEADERSHIP COACHING AND DEVELOPMENT
- Build, develop, and lead a large a geographically disparate team. Ensure career development for entire team through focus of timely, specific and direct feedback and coaching.
- Assist account managers to develop effective programs.
- Coach, educate and motivate direct reports for increased productivity.
- Spend adequate time with team in office and field to implement and execute Red Bull standards.
- Lead team to develop thought-leading initiatives and insights that impact national strategy.
CUSTOMER PROFITABILITY MANAGEMENT
- Lead the business priorities, objectives, and results across CPM (a long-term business transformation process) as it relates to ALL Key Account processes.
- Develop trainings and processes to ensure CPM becomes part of RBNA culture, and hold teams accountable to commitment to accurate planning & spend on CPM platform.
- Continually seek for ways to improve and streamline.
EXPERIENCE

- EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, & EDUCATION (IF APPLICABLE) REQUIRED
- Minimum 12 years Sales and Key Account experience with a strong track record of success
- Strong analytical skills and experience using internal and external data sources
- Leadership capabilities to recruit, train, develop and motivate the BU key accounts team
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Innovative, solution-oriented mindset
- In-depth knowledge of FMCG and DSD industry
- Bachelor's Degree preferred and Masters Degree preferred
- Travel 40-50%
