Shipping and Receiving Associate
Flagpoles Etc is hiring a Full-Time Shipping Clerk. Our national headquarters in Wixom, Michigan has an immediate opening. Flagpoles Etc is a family owned and operated company. Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments. Their duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations and documenting damages to inventory.
Duties Include (but not limited to)
- Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering deliveries into company computer systems and distributing packages and letters within the company.
- Maintain the company stockroom and inventory areas.
- Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments.
- Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers.
- Processing of Purchase Orders: Entering items into computer system, tracking inventory in computer system, etc.
- Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
- Working with other company departments on a regular basis.
- Troubleshooting shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to resolve them.
- Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary.

- Quickbooks experience helpful (will train)
- Using email, and Microsoft Office applications helpful.
- Exemplary customer care skills

- Strong computer skills helpful
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Detail-oriented and multitasking skills
- Pay: Starting at $17 to $19 an hour.
