Thriving Casual Restaurant Seeking Hospitality/Service Manager

Overview:

Looking for a Hospitality and Service Manager to help lead our busy full service restaurant with a specialized cocktail program in Ormond Beach, Florida. Our establishment is a space where we honor global food culture and gather in our shared humanity, while working to decolonize our approach and create abundance to be shared with our community.

The Hospitality and Service Management position has evolved towards de-centralized Administrative Duties for greater attention on Leadership, Connection, Team-building, Support, Operations, Goal-setting, and Community Involvement. We have strong support management teams in place; a large and loyal staff of about 70; and ownership that is invested, seasoned and collaborative. We are looking for the right human to take us to the next level, while still maintaining our values and vibe.

Required Skills:

  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Tried + true Leadership style, confidence and abilities
  • Versatile + effective communication skills
  • Extensive experience with and passion for humans, problem-solving, hospitality, craft cocktails, food, and events
  • Competency in the Kitchen and high volume food service
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Experience with back end of POS system programming
  • Minimum of 1-2 years managing a team of people: including hiring, evaluations, leading regular meetings, goal setting + accountability, disciplining + termination

Physical Requirements:

The person in this position needs to occasionally or frequently:

  • Maneuver about inside the restaurant/office to access food/beverage items, machinery, and other restaurant equipment
  • Operate basic office equipment
  • Operate basic restaurant equipment
  • Be able to exchange accurate information while communicating with customers
  • Work in a noisy/distracting environment

Details + Compensation:

  • 5 day workweek – 45-50 hours per week

DUTIES of the Hospitality and Service Manager:

  • Direct support and leadership to all staff
  • Coordinate with management team to ensure company goals are met
  • Develop team talent to maximize team member contributions
  • Manage a bustling dinner service where sales routinely exceed $1500 hourly
  • Quality control and consistency of F & B, service and atmosphere
  • Interact with guests to ensure noteworthy customer service
  • Observation / Assessment + Team Support – Being onsite and in position during several peak meal periods per week
  • Goal Setting + Tending [some examples: improved product knowledge; inspiration to continue honing the Craft, further development of Community involvement goals]
  • Organization of all storage areas, including recycling area
  • Hold regular meetings with Management Teams
  • Development and refinement of standard operating procedures
