Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Research Study Coordinator in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology located at NorthShore Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. This position will require weekly travel to Swedish Hospital in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time position and is benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled 8a to 4:30p Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with the development of study documents and submission/reporting to the Institutional Review Board for a randomized control trial of breastfeeding peer counseling (BPC) taking place at NorthShore Swedish Hospital
  • Manage daily research activities in collaboration with a Research Assistant and a multi-site study team
  • Coordinate regular meetings and communications with clinical team members at Swedish Hospital and prenatal recruitment sites
  • Recruit patients from clinical sites during pregnancy
  • Maintain communication with patients and research team members across multiple sites
  • Conduct study assessments with research participants
  • Manage patient tracking and study activities in a study database
  • Enter data into electronic databases; manipulate resulting data and present it in a variety of ways and creating reports of study progress
  • Maintain organized and detailed records of all study activities
  • Maintain study supplies
  • Perform scientific literature searches as required

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong people skills required
  • Experience in a research environment required
  • Some data management experience required
  • Bilingual Spanish-English speaking strongly preferred
