Job description
Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - 10 month duty schedule
Recruiting Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Good knowledge of professional nursing principles, procedures and terminology; good knowledge of the principles and practices of public and child health; ability to get along well with children; ability to establish and maintain cooperative relations with teachers and the general public; sound professional judgment; initiative and resourcefulness; dependability, good physical condition.
Experience and Training: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, valid license and registration to practice as a registered professional nurse in the State of New York and current CPR/AED certification.
Duties of Assignment: First aid, medication administration, management of chronic conditions; evaluation of immunization status; completion of mandated state data report; and any other duties as assigned by Administration.
Special Qualifications: Tact; patience; knowledgeable about childhood diseases; up-to-date on first aid techniques; technologically proficient; pediatric and adolescent nursing experience.
