THE REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of Accounting experience; we will also consider strong accounting knowledge and experience
- 2+ years of property management experience
- 2 years of experience with Yardi (preferred) or similar property management software required
- General accounting skills and experience including:
- AR, AP and general accounting reconciliation
- Month-end close
- Some knowledge of budgets and financial statements
- Proficiency and demonstrated knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook; typing speed must meet or exceed 40 wpm
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Associate's degree or college coursework preferred
THE ROLE
- Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will join a team responsible for an assigned portfolio of properties, typically assigned by the number of units. You will be responsible for the process for the properties including calculating, recording, balancing financial reports. You will work closely with the properties and interact with vendors, property personnel, and managers/supervisors. The majority of your tasks include bank reconciliations and accounts payables, and general journal entries using Yardi Voyager software.
