Production Supervisor (Full-Time)

Nature Soy is a major soy product manufacturer located in Philadelphia. Since 1989, Nature’s Soy has been bringing naturally delicious soy products to American tables. With a passion for soy and simple, real food, we offer a wide variety of fresh, high quality soy and vegetarian products for all types of diets.

We are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a safe, efficient, and high productivity food manufacturing facility.

Major Responsibilities

• Supervises the entire production line
• Lead, train, and coach employees to operate food manufacturing equipment to produce high quality food products efficiently and safely
• Handles scheduling and oversee floor operations
• Monitors performance of production workers
• Manage and track key performance metrics (such as those related to quality and efficiency)
• Work closely with Quality team to ensure manufacturing in high quality
• Work with production employees, managers, supply chain agents, engineers, and accounting personnel

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• A minimum of 2 years related supervision work experience required in food & beverage or pharma industry
• Experience in GFSI facility preferred
• Understanding in ERP preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and multitasking skills required
• Basic computer skills required.
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently as well as with groups.
• Read and understand GMP, HACCP along with FDA and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to train, maintain and promote a safe work environment.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary, shift hours may change with advance notice

Physical Demands and Duration

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift at least 50 lbs.
• Standing majority of shift
• Noise typical of a production environment, Entire shift
• Working in hot/cold temperatures, Entire shift

Job Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: 6 Days a week, 5PM to 1:30AM

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Food and Beverage, or Pharmaceutical Industry: 2 years (Preferred)
• Supervisory: 2 years (Preferred)
• GFSI facility: 1 year (Preferred)
• GMP, HACCP along with FDA and OSHA: 1 year (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Night Shift (Preferred)
• Overnight Shift (Preferred)
