Hiring Opportunity: Hilliard, Ohio

Our client is looking for a PCB Engineer to join their Engineering Department at their Hilliard location. Our client has been around for over 45 years and is a leading designer and manufacturer of proprietary power conversion, energy management and communication systems for a variety of commercial vehicle markets.
In this position, you will be responsible to work in a multi-disciplined engineering team to design circuit boards for various commercial vehicle power conversion products.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Designing new boards to fit specific electrical and mechanical requirements
  • Updating and maintaining existing boards for improved performance, manufacturability, or replacement of obsolete components.
  • ERP system BOM entry, production documentation creation, shared schematic symbol and PCB footprint library maintenance
  • Must also assist with PCN (Product Change Notification) processing and coordinate testing of alternate sourced parts.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2 to 4 years of related experience.
  • Technical/Engineering degree or related experience with basic understanding of electronic components.
  • Familiarity with Altium or similar software for schematic entry, PCB layout, assembly drawing and BOM creation.
  • Ability to read schematics as related to PCB layout.
  • Good communications skills for interfacing with stencil manufacturers, PCB manufacturers, component
suppliers, contract manufacturers, and in-house manufacturing teams.
  • Ability to work in a Mechanical/Electrical (Power and Controls) Engineering team to manage priorities on
multiple projects.
  • Ability to use the MS Office suite of software.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with:
  • IPC standards related to PCB layout.
  • Electronics assembly manufacturing processes.
  • High-voltage (700V-2kV), high-current (20A-100A) PCB designs.
  • Low-voltage control boards (analog and/or digital designs).
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI design techniques.
