Fast-paced and fun wholesale lumber distribution company seeks a driven, engaged and detail-oriented Order Entry Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses strong excel skills, problem solving skills, the ability to complete independent, repetitive daily tasks, and has an aptitude for numbers. Lumber experience a big plus. This position reports to the corporate sales assistant manager.

Responsibilities:

- Transfer data from hard copy/email to a digital database.

- Organize existing data in a spreadsheet.

- Operate common office equipment, like scanners and printers.

- Input text-based and numerical information from source documents.

- Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically.

- Review data for deficiencies or errors.

- Type in data quickly and efficiently.

- Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

- Advanced Excel skills

- Fast and accurate typing skills

- Good data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

- Basic understanding of databases

- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Also, has the ability to prioritize daily duties based on urgency.

- Great attention to detail

Education and Experience:

- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

- Lumber Industry experience preferred.

- E R P software experience.

Physical Requirements:

§ Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

§ Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.

§ Potential to work from home after training.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $37,577.50 per year
