Job description
QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold proper Ohio Department of Education Intervention Specialist licensure, or be eligible to obtain a supplemental license.
DESCRIPTION:
- Serve as the primary instructor for middle school students identified with multiple disabilities and complex needs
- Communicate high expectations for students and show an active interest in their progress
- Demonstrate ability to motivate and support students to achieve goals
- Provide differentiated instruction
- Ability to provide guidance and direction to paraprofessionals
- Work effectively as a team member with related service providers and paraprofessionals
- Interact positively and professionally with students, families, and educators
- Utilize positive behavior supports and interventions with students
LOCATION: Wauseon Middle School (Fulton County)
CONTRACT: Per School Calendar, beginning in the 2023-24 school year
SALARY: Per the adopted salary schedule based on training and experience
BENEFITS: Paid sick leave and personal days. Health, dental, vision, and life insurance are available if working over 25 hours/week. Membership in the STRS retirement system.
