Title: Mid to Senior Level Geospatial (GIS) Analyst

Responsibilities:
As a Mid/Senior-level Geospatial Analyst, you will support projects across the country as a member of our national Geospatial Science Team (GST). Applying GIS to collaborate with our various Practice Areas, which include Engineering, Environmental Sciences, and Natural Resources, you will have the opportunity to share your experience and grow with us around the application of GIS in a range of interesting and challenging projects. The position entails the following:
- Proactively guide project teams in the implementation of GIS over evolving project goals and timelines. Typical project tasks include data acquisition and collection, data management, version control, spatial analysis, web application development, and reporting/mapping.
- Support GST with research and development and maintenance of GIS systems, as directed.
- Perform quality review of GIS work products and analysis tasks.
- Provide a demonstrated commitment to quality and efficiency.
- Cultivate a friendly, supportive, and fun work environment through open communication and teamwork within and external to Anchor QEA.
What Are We Looking For?
Ideal candidates will have the following:
Required:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the environment, with an emphasis on Geospatial Science. Experience may be substituted for education for exceptional candidates.
- Demonstrate 3 to 8 years of progressive experience with Esri’s ArcGIS Desktop Suite (ArcMap and/or ArcGIS Pro) and Spatial Analyst or 3D Analyst.
- 3 to 8 years of experience working in consulting or equivalent industries.
- Strong understanding of geodatabase design and feature class data management.
- Strong understanding of Python for ArcGIS and SQL programming languages, with the ability to write and modify existing code and automate GIS analysis and production processes.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, spatial problem solving, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience proactively leading the use of GIS over evolving project goals, timelines, and budgets.
- For senior level candidates, self-direction and experience mentoring junior GST staff are expected.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a field related to the environment, with an emphasis on Geospatial Science.
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online.
- Experience deploying Field Maps and Survey123 field applications and developing field data collection.
- Experience with SQL Server Geodatabase management.
- Experience in environmental, engineering, or natural resources consulting.
- Familiarity with EQuIS or other enterprise environmental database systems.
- Familiarity with R, JSON, Arcade, and/or JavaScript.
- Stays abreast of new trends and innovations with Geospatial Science and Esri technology.
- Current GISP certification.
