Job Summary
Canteen, the largest unattended retail foodservice company in the country is seeking a Manufacturing Technical Project Manager to join their team in Charlotte, NC.
The Manufacturing Technical Project Manager is responsible for acquiring business requirements, determining fit/gaps with candidate manufacturing business and operational solutions, managing project initiation and execution. Initially, this will entail a project leadership role leading an effort in partnership with the business team to configure and implement a new Manufacturing ERP and Production System solutions. This role, if successful, would transition into ongoing technology (functional) product ownership of the solutions post-deployment.
Job Responsibilities
- Function as main liaison between business, vendor and technical team
- Develop, scope, and define backlog items that guide the product team.
- Draft requirements and specifications documentation, complete to signoff, configure and test solution and validate deliverables to specifications
- Manage and coordinate business change activities effectively (including vendor involvement, specification of technical requirements, testing and support)
- Write and execute functional test scripts and coordinate with other analysts for system integration testing
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- At least 3-5 years of experience in product ownership or manufacturing systems role supporting Manufacturing ERP and/or Manufacturing Production Solutions.
- A solid track record of the following are a must:
- On time development of user stories, application requirements, and/or process flow diagrams
- Planning, designing and implementing efficient Manufacturing systems to support organizational functions following Agile methodology
- UI mockups used to clarify detailed requirements
- Use of various requirements elicitation techniques, such as end user interviews, job shadowing, brainstorming, business process analysis and process flow documentation, facilitation
- The ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Creative problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments
- Managing conflicting priorities and gaining consensus across multiple user groups
- Committed and enthusiastic approach to supporting business customers and end users.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Special Skills/and or Training Desired
- Experience in systems used for food and beverage manufacturing (preferred)
- Training in Project Management (preferred)
- Knowledge of Systems Development Lifecycle process
- Knowledge of ISA-95, Industry 4.0, or other Manufacturing Models
