Primary Role: The Manufacturing Engineer’s primary purpose is to develop and improve production process, configure manufacturing systems to reduce cost, create and maintain BOM, design and run FEA in SOILDWORKS, and develop and document best practices within the production processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop BOM for all fiberglass shells
- Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
- Design, complete print packages and run FEA on new and existing products.
- Develop and work with team members on production SOPs.
- Owner of new product and customer innovation development
- Travel to train new process and product at each campus
- Maintains product and process data.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Leads lean projects to reduce waste from production process, by using DMAIC process.
- Work with manufacturing associates to promote and implement continuous improvements projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without supervision. This includes detailed and accurate project tasks and schedules, interfacing with team members and other support personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree (preferred) ME, And Minimum of three (3+) years’ experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Highly developed skills: problem-solving, tenacity, drive, creativity, planning and organization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a variety of systems
- Excellent presentation, written, verbal and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence employees and leaders at all levels of the organization
- Working knowledge of SOILDWORKS and SOILDWORKS FEA software
- ERP system knowledge
- Ability to read and create blueprints
- Travel is required and able to travel outside of US
- Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio, and Project
