Job Summary
The District Sales Manager for Food Service On Premise (FSOP) oversees the sales efforts and leads a team of Market Development Managers and Business Development Managers. Responsible for revenue generation, key account management, development, and execution of sales plans for their assigned accounts.
Job Responsibilities
- Trains, develops, and motivates the team of Market Development Managers and Business Development Managers to ensure optimal performance.
- Negotiates and executes contractual agreements with customers.
- Meets or exceeds gross profit volume goals.
- Understands profit and loss (P&L) and manages budgets accordingly.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with the FSOP accounts.
- Responsible for communicating cross-functionally with internal and external teams to ensure satisfaction and the continuation of successful partnerships with the customer.
- Provides consistent interaction with store level and local chain leaders.
- Provides marketplace condition updates to leadership.
- Ensures profitable placements for the company’s capital assets placed in customer account locations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year of work experience required, or a minimum of five years of progressive job experience including people, project, or account management with leadership and influencing skills required.
- Prior experience in retail or direct-store-delivery (DSD) sales including contract terms and negotiations required.
- Prior experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods industry preferred.
- Effectively communicates & builds relationships at all organizational levels; ability to both present ideas and influence decisions at leadership level.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
