The HVAC/Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager (FM) in inspecting, maintaining and repairing all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operating results of facilities, all while remaining in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. They will assist the FM with the company’s facility operations in New Bedford and Middleboro, MA, to include installation, maintenance, repair and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, carpet, and mechanics. They will assist with office moves, the scheduling of all maintenance requirements to include HVAC filters, grow lights and all things mechanical, and the upkeep of the building, grow rooms, irrigation systems and grounds.

The HVAC/Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the HVAC equipment onsite, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts. They will perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, equipment surveys, and service requests including replacement, and modifications of equipment or systems as needed or requested by the grow facility team.

Knowledge of and compliance with state and federal occupational safety and hazard regulations for the maintenance, repair, and operation of buildings, grow rooms, irrigation systems and grounds of facilities. Assist with cultivation tasks when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
