The New Company

On September 14, 2022, Danaher announced its intention to separate its Environmental & Applied Solutions segment to create an independent, publicly traded company. The new company will be called Veralto and will be comprised of an outstanding collection of market-leading brands in Danaher's Environmental and Applied Solutions (EAS) segment: Hach, ChemTreat, Trojan, OTT Hydromet, and McCrometer from Danaher's Water Quality Platform and Videojet, Esko, X-Rite Pantone and Linx from the Product Identification Platform.

The EAS segment generated revenue of approximately $4.8 billion in 2022 and has a global team of approximately 16,000 associates. As stewards of the world's most vital resources, Veralto will help ensure billions of people have safe food, water, and medicines every day. With a strong Danaher heritage, the Veralto team will continue to deliver trusted expertise to solve its customers' most complex workflow challenges. About The Role

The Veralto Talent Development team is on a journey towards transformation. The Manager of Learning and Development is a key member of Veralto’s Talent Development (TD) team, bringing focus and energy to the enterprise learning and leadership development strategy. The global vision for the role is to ensure Veralto continues to integrate and scale with people leader and associate learning; provide a clear strategy for how the Learning Management System (LMS) can accelerate talent development and Veralto Enterprise System (VES) penetration; engage in regular needs analysis and expand digital offerings and other courses as appropriate beyond our current VES footprint, as needed to close gaps and improve the learner experience. This individual will serve as a learning strategist and expert on the LMS, leading all aspects of the execution process in order to create and implement a detailed plan for talent growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support talent development and learning needs (20%)

  • Partner with Corporate and Platform HR Leaders and OpCo business and functional leaders to support talent development efforts across the organization.
  • Understand the business needs and strategy of the organization and the associated organizational and key talent issues.
  • Coordinate with Operating Company, Regional, Platform, and Corporate teams to define common and unique needs and plan for who will address those needs.
  • In partnership with OpCo leadership teams and Corporate Talent Management, identify talent development and learning strategies/initiatives to address enterprise gaps and opportunities leveraging existing opco, regional, platform and enterprise initiatives where available.
  • Utilize internal and external data to identify skill and talent/learning gaps. Mine associate, manager-generated and org-level data for insights. Identify trends, gaps, and continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Design, execute, and sustain innovative, future-focused development experiences (20%)

  • Use understanding of Veralto Enterprise System (VES) and 70-20-10 approach to development to accelerate capability and readiness for roles of greater scale, scope, and complexity.
  • Lead and support existing formal programs for mid-level leaders and functional leaders, as well as future development experiences that integrate VES, Gemba-based experiential learning, coaching, peer learning, digital learning, and external partners, as appropriate, in the most effective hybrid design.
  • Leverage and partner with Veralto Faculty as key enablers to leader development programs and experiences. Assist with expectation setting, preparation and support required to ensure Faculty are ready and enabled to provide exceptional learning experiences for leaders through formal programs and informal development opportunities.
  • Lead and execute the program nominations process in partnership with Platforms, Operating Companies, and regions to ensure fair and equitable access to current and future leaders. Partner with Talent Planning, D&I and other stakeholders to ensure the process is integrated with existing talent processes, is efficient and effective and accelerates development of future leaders across Veralto.

  • Create and maintain global governance for digital learning within the Learning Management System, with support networks in Operating Companies; Enable strategic talent and learning solutions in the Learning Management System (30%)

  • Lead and participate in the creation of processes and standard work related to digital learning. Influence related processes and standard work across the organization.
  • Serve as a key team member in the configuration of the Learning Management System (LMS) and leverage the system to drive accessibility and scaling of learning.
  • Enable broader system availability for OpCos, functions, and regions. Manage contractor support to execute on learning administrator tasks.
  • Conduct sessions with stakeholders to help them understand how to use the LMS to bring their learning solution to life; partner collaboratively with key stakeholders (business partners, IT) to implement optimal solutions in Workday Learning.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with the implementation process. Provide training/knowledge transfer to stakeholders for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Lead Development Programs and Courses for People Leaders and Associates (20%)

  • Serve as the Tool Process Owner (TPO) for Leadership courses by leading the strategy and execution for enterprise courses to include the design of all supporting standard work tools, assets, and communications. Develop Advanced Certified Practitioner (ACP) network to support process at the Operating Companies.
  • Consult Platform and OpCo Talent and HR teams on how and where to leverage as part of talent development strategy. Coach Platform and OpCo Talent and HR Teams on quality execution and connections to the development planning process.
  • Assist with facilitation efforts around learning programs (Crucial Conversations, Situational Leadership, etc).
  • Strengthen the Certified Trainer and Certified practitioner construct in supporting certification and development.

  • Special Projects (10%)

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Talent Management – Subject matter expertise and experience driving the talent agenda across functions, regions and stakeholder groups. Brings strategic insight to ensure a winning talent strategy and strength in execution to drive improvement in talent metrics. Ability to interface with all levels using discretion, confidentiality and solid judgment to navigate talent issues and drive change.
  • Learning and Leadership Development – Ability to drive key strategic learning and leadership development initiatives across all levels of the organization. Subject matter expertise, experience in instructional design, and facilitation expertise to drive gap closure.
  • Executive Presence – Ability to influence senior leaders at the highest levels. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills. An intelligent, critical, self-confident, and results-oriented individual who possess a combination of mental flexibility, creativity, analytical ability and sound judgment.

  • Program Management – Disciplined and proficient at initiating, planning, executing, controlling and measuring large-scale initiatives with a distributed and diverse, indirect team to achieve specific goals and results.
  • Technical Skills – Strong command of Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office products: PowerPoint; Excel, Word and HRIS systems including Workday.
  • Analytical and Reporting Skills – Exceptional analytical and reporting skills. Tried strategic business partner, with an excellent sense of operations, as well as commercial activities and an appreciation for the interplay between the two competencies
  • Process & System Orientation – Skilled in thinking through “how” things are done and translating complex processes into a user-friendly operating model, technology system and set of tools to drive execution.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Sociology, Psychology or related field required; Master’s preferred.
  • Overall 7 years in Human Resources roles, including HR Generalist responsibilities.
  • Minimum three-years experience in Talent Management roles.

Travel:

  • 20-30% (depending on location)
