Your Opportunity: Taylor Promotional Products is looking for an IT Director to lead multiple software development and support teams, providing automation solutions related to the sale and manufacture of promotional products.
Your Responsibilities:
- Mentor and lead team managers as they manage cross-functional teams developing components of the product line.
- Work with stakeholders across the company in the planning of new development projects and roadmap; assisting with the clarification of requirements, development estimation, and other related activities; ensuring requirements are actionable by software engineers and representing the technical aspects and challenges of a project to leadership.
- Ensure systems performance and stability within manufacturing facilities in U.S. and Mexico.
- Routinely work with technology leaders across related business units to support shared sales partnerships.
- Act as an escalation point for Product Management, Sales, and Client Services for architectural and technical questions.
- Perform the role of Solution Architect for technology related to order management and fulfillment, clarifying requirements, and defining architecture and interactions.
- Drive analysis, design, roadmap, and implementation plans based on current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
- Provide expert-level application knowledge and counsel to others in the technology organization.
- Analysis of current business systems process flows to identify areas of improvement.
- Flexibility is expected and responsibilities will shift as business needs change.
You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience managing a technical team
- 7+ years of experience as a technical lead developer
- Troubleshooting skills, ability to isolate problems, and communicate problems effectively
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams for software development projects in an agile environment
- Ability to independently prioritize workloads to meet deadlines
- Effective and professional oral and written communication skills, interfacing with internal peers, upper management, and customers in technical and non-technical communications
- Experience managing software engineers and business analysts
- Ability to manage a budget
We Would Also Prefer:
- Master’s degree in a related field, or MBA
- Knowledge of the use of the Jira ticketing system, or other comparable system
- Familiarity with the Git source control system
