Custom Fabricating & Supplies is a premier masking company manufacturing custom gaskets, tape die cuts and rubber and plastic molded parts. We are currently hiring an IT Administrator for our organization based in Franklin, WI.
The IT Administrator is responsible for maintaining the company’s IT network, software, servers, security and phone systems both on-site and for off-site locations. This person will be the main in-house contact for all IT related questions, issues and maintenance. They will interact with 3rd party vendors who support specialized software systems to coordinate upgrades. Ideally this person has worked in an environment where they wear many different hats - from setting up a Teams meeting and troubleshooting a server to upgrading software and fixing a desktop printer. You will be interacting will all employees, so the ability to get along well with non-technical users is critical.
Essential Functions:
System Network Duties:
- Administers desktops/laptops, servers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones (desk and cellular), network and desktop software systems, ERP system, security updates and patches.
- Investigate and diagnose network problems.
- Carry out routine selection, purchasing, configuration and installation of IT solutions.
- Perform backup operations, ensuring all required network devices, file servers, and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.
- Assist in developing and maintaining documentation for establishing and maintaining network, backup and restore procedures, system based software, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Develop project timelines and track project progress. Notifies CEO of any problems or delays in projects.
- Install and maintain network hardware and software.
- Evaluate and modify systems performance.
- Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment and security.
- Maintain network services in individual machines to include drivers, personal computer settings and printers.
- Maintain network servers such as file and application servers.
- Schedules and coordinates upgrades with 3rd party vendors.
Helpdesk Duties:
- Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems for employees in a helpful and professional manner.
- Monitor and efficiently respond to requests received.
- Modify configurations, utilities, software settings, etc. for local workstations as requested.
- Meet with new hires/new users to explain systems thoroughly.
- Install, test and configure new workstations and software.
- Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses.
- Assign users and computers to proper active directory groups.
- Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required.
Telephone System Duties:
- Administer and manage company’s telephone and voice mail systems.
- Resolve any telephone and outage issues at outside and local locations.
- Provide guidance and instructions to new hires on phone systems.
What you bring
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in IT required
- Customer/Employee service experience required
- Associate degree in Information Systems and Technology required
- With access to proprietary, financial and other confidential information, must be highly trustworthy and able to handle confidential information.
The ideal candidate will be able to support the following systems. Previous Sage experience is very beneficial, but not required, as we have offsite support.
