We are growing! Alps Long Term Care Pharmacy is seeking for a technician who is passionate about the industry and patient care. You will have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with the Long Term Care Pharmacy!

The Intake Specialist will be responsible for answering, documenting and directing inbound phone calls. This position will report to the Manager, Pharmacy Operations. Clients will consist of Residential Care, Assisted Living, Hospice, or similar type of long-term care facilities and patients.

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered license in the state of practice
• 1+ years of pharmacy experience, preferably in high volume environment such as long-term care pharmacy operations, retail, mail order, and/or hospital preferred but not required
• 1+ years customer service experience
• Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D required
• Excellent computer skills, including pharmacy operations system and office products (Framework experience preferred)
• Verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly with customers, vendors and other employees
• Excellent collaboration
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• High degree of professionalism
• Problem-solving attitude and solutions focused
• Flexible schedule required
• Accurate and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls and works to assist clients in a fast, knowledgeable and consistent manner. Escalates phone calls to appropriate team if needed
• Gathers and documents as much information as possible from the phone call
• Remain compliant with all PHI protocols and requirements including the handling of company confidential data according to policy and guidelines
• Must know HIPAA laws in regard to the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient information
• Assists the Pharmacist in processing, preparing, filling, labeling, and dispensing of medication and supplies
• Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed
