QualDerm Partners, LLC (“QDP”) provides professional management services to dermatology practices across the country.

The Histo-tech will assist in delivery of providing an excellent customer service experience in a dermatological lab setting and will provide dermatological healthcare and perform selective procedural and medical services under the direction of physician(s).

Requirements:
Examines and prepares histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and patient diagnosis. Uses rapid tissue processing and frozen section technique to freeze, cut, mount, and stain tissue specimen received from surgery, biopsy, and anatomical tissues upon preparation of sections of human or animal tissue for immediate examination. Operates computerized laboratory equipment to fix, dehydrate, and infiltrate with wax, tissue specimens to be preserved for study by Pathologist. Assesses new techniques and procedures in a laboratory. Prepares slides of specimens, using specified stain, to enhance visibility under microscope. Examines slides under microscope to ensure tissue preparation meets laboratory requirements. Performs complex histologic procedures, and analyzes and corrects problems using scientific principles. Manages unexpected lab situations, such as problems with instruments or detecting health problems that may cause unusual test results. Studies slides under microscope to detect deviations from norm, and reports abnormalities for further study. Maintains instruments.
