Position Overview:

We have a full-time School Social Worker opening with one of our fantastic school partners right in Redford, MI for the upcoming school year in the fall! This position will be responsible for managing a caseload of both at-risk and Special Education populations in a K-12 setting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage an IEP caseload through social, emotional, and academic enrichment programs
• Advocate for the emotional, social, and academic wellbeing of students
• Provide counseling (1:1, small group, whole group) to MTSS students
• Address legal issues
• Participate in the development of the student’s Individual Education Plan
• Collaboration with staff, families, and community resources
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student safety and success
• Engage in anti-racism conversations and practices
• Support student goals as described by their IEP or 504

Qualifications:

• Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work
• LMSW license eligible in the State of Michigan
• School Social Work Approval Form (ss310).
• Preferred experience in a K-12 setting
