Growing bookkeeping firm looking for an experienced bookkeeper that is highly proficient in QuickBooks online and desktop. We need a candidate that is a problem solver, takes initiative and has experience with all functions of QuickBooks. Candidate will perform all bookkeeping task including downloading and allocating bank transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, generating reports. Candidate must be a thinker and self starter. Job includes working closely with our bookkeeping team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance. Ideal candidate should have at least five solid years of QuickBooks experience with the desktop and online versions. Candidate must be extremely detailed oriented with experience in a highly structured office, able to follow company processes and procedures and meet deadlines. Candidate must be energetic, highly organized, very professional and able to work in a team. An accounting degree or certified bookkeeping certification is preferred but not required. Ultimately, the bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions for multiple clients.
Responsibilities

  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Verify that transactions are recorded with the correct vendor and expense/ GL account
  • Generate and analyze financial reports.
  • Accurately reconcile bank accounts
  • Handle daily task and request from clients
  • Meet various reporting deadlines
  • Enter data, maintain records and review reports and financial statements
  • Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
  • Answering phones, screening emails and new client intake processes

Skills

  • Proven bookkeeping experience, test will be given
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Energetic with a real passion for helping small business thrive

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
