Newegg is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to join our corporate Finance team. The Financial Planning Analyst will support the Financial Planning & Analysis team by providing financial analysis, reporting and insights to Newegg’s Business Units. The support provided by this individual will include creating and tracking Business Unit or department financials through variance analysis, contribute to monthly forecasts and annual budgeting process, evaluate company operational performance indicators, identify areas of issues or concerns, and make recommendations to management.- Monthly preparation of assigned Business Unit P&L’s with variance analysis and identification of key business drivers.
- Monthly tracking of departmental expenses, including operational and support functions.
- Participate in driving the annual budgeting process by collaborating with department heads and prepare results for management
- Forecasting and modeling
- Maintain structure of financial reporting systems, proactively update systems mapping and structure.
- Contribute to creating the reporting package for the Board of Directors meetings
- All other financial analysis duties as assigned by the Finance organization’s leadership.
- Other duties as assigned. Maintain integrity of financial databases and reports published by the FP&A team and proactively provide best practices recommendations
- Other ad-hoc financial analyses as assigned Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
- BA/BS in accounting or finance
- 1-3 years Accounting/Finance experience
- Financial planning experience in Operations and/or Business also desired
- Data analysis experience
- Exhibit command of Business Unit P&L accounting practices including the expense allocation process.
- Strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Familiar with SAP, Cognos Reporting and Planning, TM1 or similar systems
- Solid understanding of accounting and finance concepts
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities
- Strong oral and written presentation/communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and related deadlines and interact with multiple levels of management along with demonstrated understanding of business issues required

Mental Functions: Decisions may affect a work unit or area within a department. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department. This position performs a variety of routine duties within established policies and procedures or by referral to the supervisor's guidelines.
Physical Functions: Sitting is required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting is required. Constant keyboarding and telephone usage.
Work Environment : Office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.
Equipment Used : Standard office and computer equipment including MS Office software, computer, and telephone.
Language Skills : Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English.
