Purpose
This position will provide visualization and data analysis support on science projects and contribute to asset generation for broader dissemination.
Responsibilities
  • Work on visualization and data analysis projects for science and engineering applications.
  • Contribute to the operation of the experimental visualization laboratory.
  • Create new visualization assets in both animated, still image, and mixed reality formats.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, escalating to team members as necessary.
  • Assist a wide variety of technologically challenging projects that benefit many scientific disciplines.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience doing end-to-end visualization and data analysis.
  • Willingness to increase technical proficiency with current and future visualization technologies.
  • Desire to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Good communication skills and experience communicating science across a diverse population.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related discipline.
  • Technical experience or familiarity with any of the following: Python, Dash, Plotly, advanced computing environment, versioning tools like Github, Gitlab, etc.
Salary Range
$75,000 + depending on qualifications
