Roles & Responsibilities:
- Set up new accounts, resolve order issues, and set up parts and materials.
- Answers customer service requests via phone or electronically.
- Become a subject matter expert on Ryerson.com functionality, supporting the commercial business and external customers.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Salesforce to track customer service requests.
- Ability to take the initiative, work proactively and demonstrate flexibility to perform a wide range of tasks, responding to changes in direction and priorities, and accepting new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments.
- Collaborate with sales reps to ensure the accuracy of information and account setup.
- Coordinate proactive account setup needs with the e-commerce customer service and sales team members.
- Follow-up with sales team members on order resolutions.
- Ability to handle challenges, gather, evaluate, and assess feedback from commercial team and customers.
- Utilize and document order resolution processes using ERP and CRM systems.
- Must be technologically proficient and highly detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and applicable work experience

- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Technologically proficient and high level of detail orientation
- Excellent communication and data entry skills
- Salesforce and SAP knowledge is a plus
Experience Required: 1 - 3 Years
Education Required: Bachelors Degree Preferred
