DSHS WSH Registered Nurse 3
Western State Hospital is inviting RNs to join our nursing team as a Registered Nurse Supervisor. WSH provides evaluation and inpatient treatment for people who have serious or long-term behavioral health issues. Our nurses are devoted to compassionate patient care, have a strong work ethic, and display consistently good judgment.
Hiring Bonus
$2,000 ($500 following successful completion of new employee orientation; $500 after probation period; $1,000 after 1 year following probation period). Incentive is prorated for part-time employment. Incentive applies to RN’s new to state employment. Minimum 6 month break in service for returning employees to qualify for incentive.
Some of what you'll do:
As a first line-nursing supervisor, you will educate, coach, and mentor nursing staff while fostering a caring environment that respects our patient's dignity. In your role, you will collaborate with all members of the healthcare team to maintain high-quality nursing care for people with behavioral health issues. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that plans, delivers, and evaluates all patient care provided. We rely on you to take the lead role in medical emergencies and therapeutic intervention. You will audit aspects of care delivery to ensure compliance with Western State Hospital's policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations.
Who should apply?
- RNs with a valid Washington State license to practice as a Registered Nurse who graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing
- RNs with at least 2 years of professional nursing experience
- Or equivalent education/experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPR certification
