Approved Freight Forwarders has an immediate opening for a Director of Strategic Accounts for our metro Los Angeles location. We are a dynamic company with plenty of future growth opportunities. The Director of Strategic Accounts is responsible for sales forecasting, productivity, analytics, and CRM maintenance, among other sales support functions.

JOB TITLE: Director of Strategic Accounts

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage a sales team’s activity and follow thru in a CRM.

• Work with the sales team to set sales targets and work with the team to achieve them.

• Develop sales training materials.

• Mentor and Coach the sales team.

• Work closely with HR and business leaders in hiring sales personnel.

• Modify existing sales processes and develop new ones to create consistency across the business.

• Work with business leaders to create new products and services to meet every market demand.

• Report regularly to the Vice-President of Sales on the health of our sales team and processes.

• Help sales leaders make data-driven decisions.

• Work closely with marketing to improve our sales efforts.

• Manage complex projects or multiple projects of moderate complexity.

• Leverage knowledge and prior experience to develop appropriate solutions and ensure quality consistency.

• Ensure that assigned tasks and responsibilities are accomplished on time.

• Manage sales projects with limited oversight, using standard project management methodologies.

• Anticipate sales project issues, assess alternatives, and take appropriate measures to resolve them in a professional, tactful manner.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:

• Willingness to travel up to 25%

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related

• Financial and business acumen

• Experience with CRM / Cargowise

• 5+ years of sales experience

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000 / yr.
