GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Dietary Aide & Server part-time from 6 am - 2 pm Saturday - Sunday & Mon or Wed.

The Dietary Aide is responsible for the preparation and serving of meals, assistance with eating and proper cleaning of the meal and eating area as directed by supervisor. The goal is to ensure that residents receive nutritious and attractive meals in a timely and efficient manner. This position will be sharing time as a Dietary Aide in Post-Acute Care and as a server in Assisted Living as needed.

SCOPE OF JOB TASKS:

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in all dining and resident eating areas
• Ensures proper dating and labeling of all foods
• Assists with other kitchen or dinning services duties, as needed
• Attends and participates in training, in-services, and staff meetings
• Prepare kitchen, food, and/or supplies needed for the next meal
• Assists in daily cleaning duties such as: sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, etc.
• Maintains knowledge of physician prescribed diets and menu items
• Follows proper food handling techniques and standards of quality for all dining and work areas

JOB SPECIFICATION:

Education:

· High school diploma or GED is required

Work Experience:

· Previous experience as a Dietary Aide in senior living is highly desired.

Qualifications:

• Current Food Handler’s Permit
• Certification in CPR and First Aid
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.15 - $23.69 per hour
