Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative will support the Customer Service and Sales teams with customer service duties for assigned customers related to repair sales quotations and orders. Duties to include but not limited to; pricing, quoting, purchase order review, order entry, resolving customer hold issues, expediting customer orders, administration of pricing policies, providing support for forecasting activities and for assisting factories in attaining monthly sales goals. Understanding of repair operations and the associated customers and administering transfer orders to other AMETEK facilities are included in the role. Provide weekly reports to key accounts and establish a proactive approach to resolve customer issues. Provide quotes to phone, fax, and email inquiries. Recent college graduates with relevant Co-Op experience and strong GPAs are encouraged to apply.

This position reports directly to the SFMS Customer Service Manager.

How you will do it
  • Act as the primary interface between assigned customers and AMETEK Service Centers to support customer needs and AMETEK business objectives. Interfacing may also be required with other functions such as Materials and Quality.
  • Be proactive in finding solutions for customer needs and to protect turn around time.
  • Maintain files for quotations, orders, contracts and documents for assigned customers.
  • Work with customer drawings, specifications, purchase orders, shipping instructions and other customer supplied documentation.
  • Communicate with outside Sales personnel to ensure awareness of and alignment with AMETEK goals and customer needs.
  • Provide input to business forecasts for monthly orders and sales and annual budget and Strategic Plan.
  • Participate in weekly team meeting with the Service Centers.
  • Assimilate technical knowledge of products and processes
What we look for
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Prior Customer Service experience required
  • Relevant Co-Op and/or Intern experience preferred
  • Team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, interpersonal skills, well developed problem-solving skills; solid organizational skills; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills are a must, to include: Word, Excel, Powerpoint;
  • Oracle experience a plus
  • Strong undergraduate GPA required
Due to contracts with the United States Government, candidates must be a US Citizen or Green card holder.
