Counselor/Wellbeing Specialist
Job description
PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position will provide professional individual and group counseling services and outreach to PCC students as well as consultation to college administrators, staff and others who have concerns about the mental/emotional status of students. The position will primarily serve students, consult and build relationships with faculty and staff and gain an understanding of the unique needs of the population served. (Grant Funded)
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, and Knowledge
Required: Master’s degree in counseling or Social Work or a related mental health field. Doctorate preferred in psychology, counseling, or clinical social work or closely related field. Four (4) or more years of professional experience providing mental health counseling to students and/or adult learners in an educational setting
Preferred: Expertise in the area of suicide prevention, mental health, alcohol, and other drugs, and/or interpersonal violence. Clinical experience or background in the area of suicide prevention, mental health, alcohol, and other drugs, and/or interpersonal violence. Experience in college/university settings in the areas of Health Promotion, Prevention, and Early Intervention
SALARY
$42,066 - $58,425 for a 12-month full-time position with benefits.
