We are looking for a motivated, self-driven individual to join our legal team who will represent the organization on a variety of legal matters in support of T-Mobile’s Strategic Transactions, Emerging Products, and Messaging business units. The Corporate Counsel will be part of the team and provide day-to-day legal advice, draft a variety of complex agreements, manage the resolution of legal disputes, support multiple operational initiatives, and work cross-functionally with other legal teams. This role also requires the ability to work collaboratively with leadership to advise on legal matters and solve problems.
What you’ll do in your role.
- Negotiate and draft complex agreements and transactions
- Advise the business in assessing short-term goals in the context of long-term goals
- Help drive departmental initiatives
- Serve as a trusted advisor for several specialty areas within the sales and distribution organization
- Effectively and efficiently work with other in-house subject matter experts and outside legal counsel
- Think like the “Uncarrier” in the context of all that you do for T-Mobile, with a solution-oriented approach to all matters
The experience you’ll bring.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school, with admission to the state bar and the ability to become a licensed attorney or in-house counsel in applicable state jurisdictions (Washington, Kansas, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, or Texas)
- JD/MBA preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience as a business attorney, with relevant in-house and/or law firm experience
- Experience handling transactional matters and often a high volume or high complexity of work with the ability to prioritize, work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines, and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced sales environment
- Able to handle diverse projects in unrelated areas
- Quick learner with flexibility to take on matters in new areas
- Creative problem solver with focus on compliance, and the customer
- Results oriented attorney with executive maturity and ability to interact with senior management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and team-up with other legal and business professionals in a complex organization with a focus on delivering results
- Strong analytical, drafting, negotiation, and research skills
- Ability to operate independently and effectively in a dynamic environment
- Prior experience or working knowledge of technology transactions, the ad tech business, or non-consumer messaging preferred.
- An interest in emerging businesses and emerging technology preferred.
- Ability to pass background check

Minimum Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Washington Pay Range: $152,500 - $206,300
- The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
- At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives. And since we are ALL owners, EVERY employee at T-Mobile is eligible for an Annual Stock Grant. - High School Diploma or GED
- T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. The CDC currently defines "fully vaccinated" as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
