Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare organization offering a full continuum of care, including variety of programs throughout Arizona, Oklahoma and District of Columbia. Founded in 1982 as a non-profit organization by members of the recovery community in Mesa, Arizona, Community Bridges Inc. has held as its principle mission “maintaining the dignity of human life” for more than 40 years. CBI serves individuals, families, and communities in need by offering clients a personalized, integrated approach to addiction treatment and behavioral health concerns. CBI's recovery model embraces the full continuum of medical services, substance abuse and mental health treatments crisis and inpatient services, residential and outpatient services, support for women and children, homeless outreach, housing and shelter, community education, and extensive outreach efforts. CBI will hire pursuant to the DC EEO provisions.

Job Summary

The Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) Community Liaison is the official liaison between CBI programs and community stakeholders. This position will focus on nurturing relationships with CBI’s internal and external partners to foster positive relationships with both individuals and organizations. The CBI Community Liaison will work with a team of ambassadors for the agency and will develop strategies and programs to represent the company favorably and make positive contributions to the community.

Skills/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in the field of behavioral health, business public relations or communications preferred.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in public involvement, public relations, community affairs, public administration or related position.
  • Lived experience in recovery from mental health and substance use preferred.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory and/or management experience preferred.
  • Current District of Columbia Driver’s License preferred.
  • Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record required.

  • Washington, DC 20001: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Administrative experience: 1 year (Preferred)
