The Breakfast Attendant and Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring quality is superb, timely, adhering to all Safety codes. Additionally, the prompt recognition and seating of all guests in the breakfast area as assigned and assists the servers in providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to guests throughout their breakfast experience. He/she is also responsible immaculate cleanliness of the kitchen, buffet, entire breakfast area, along with the laundry areas.
Education & Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
· Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
· Ability to stand during entire shift.
Mental Requirements:
· Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
· Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
· Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
· Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.

Essential:
· Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
· Maintain regular attendance in compliance with QPM Hotels standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
· Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
· Comply at all times with QPM Hotels standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
· Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
· Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
· Greet all guests in a timely manner.
· Be attentive of guests’ needs, assist in providing a pleasant breakfast experience.
· Ensure quality control of breakfast items with regard to cleanliness and appearance.
· Perform opening food preparation and closing cleaning duties according to established checklist.
· Practice energy conservation at all times.
· Ensure par levels are established and maintained.
· Ensure inventory is done daily with once to twice weekly ordering (depending on occupancy)
· Ensure food items are properly stored and dated (FIFO, first in, first out)
· Attend meetings/training as required by management.
· Perform other duties as requested by management.
· Maintain and operate all laundry equipment in accordance with established procedures.
· Report any equipment malfunction to maintenance immediately and complete a work order.
· Separate and wash terry separate from linen. Always use gloves when sorting. Always shake out linen and terry when sorting and look for anything that may cause injury (needles, etc.)
· Ensure that all linen and terry is free of stains and tears prior to washing.
· Pre-spot stained linen and terry before rewashing.
· Load and unload washers and dryers being careful not to overload either machine.
· Fold linen in accordance with established procedures.
· Fold and stack clean towels, removing any stained or torn linen/terry and place in appropriate storage location.
· Clean dryer lint screens EVERY load.
· Clean exterior of all machines in the laundry room daily.
· Check/refill washer chemicals as needed.
· Sweep and mop laundry floor daily. Use wet floor signs as required.
· Deep clean the entire laundry area once per week.
· Ensure front desk has linen stored for guest requests in the evening.
· Stock, clean and maintain laundry carts, storage areas and laundry racks.
· Practice safety standards at all times and keep the property safe for guests and fellow associates. Know location and use of fire extinguishers. Use wet floor signs.
· Follow proper use of approved chemicals and accurately label chemical containers. Use gloves and goggles when handling chemicals. Complete Chemical Training and Blood Borne Pathogen Training.
· Assist with or perform linen inventory as required.
· Practice energy conservation at all times.
· Notify manager/Maintenance Department of maintenance issues. Complete work orders as needed.
· Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with hotel standards.
· Clean guestrooms during peak periods, if necessary, while maintaining productivity standards.
· Promote teamwork and associate morale.
· Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company. Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
· To be flexible in your job function and perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to you, including redeployment to other departments/areas if required, in order to meet business demands and guest service needs.
· Treat all operating equipment and supplies carefully to minimize damage and reduce waste.
· To deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional, friendly, courteous and professional guest service at all times.
· To read the hotel’s Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel’s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
· Attend meetings/training as required by management.
· Perform other duties as requested by management.
Acknowledgements:
The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift and alter assigned duties as business dictates. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times.
