We are seeking a highly motivated attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join our expanding mass tort department for our Raleigh, NC office. If you have experience in personal injury, mass tort, multidistrict litigation, or class action settlement processes, we want to hear from you. The ideal candidate must be familiar with filing documents in both state and federal court, preparing legal documents, comfortable with heavy client contact, adept at multitasking, organizing and maintaining files, and possess the excellent communication and writing skills required in this fast-paced litigation environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Assists senior attorneys in all stages of mass tort litigation, including filing lawsuits in federal court and opening estates in North Carolina courts throughout the state.

· Solid understanding of Civil Litigation.

· Complaints experience required.

· e-Filing experience required.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Assist with preparation of legal documents.

· Conducts client calls, document review/preparation, tracks and reports on review progress and results.

· Organizes and maintains documents, files, and other case-related materials.

· Maintains client information on the firm’s database.

Skills & Competencies:

· Ability to communicate professionally and interact effectively with clients and all levels of personnel, including attorneys and staff.

· Ability to be a proactive self-starter who understands the details within a much larger context.

· Demonstrated attention to detail, reliability, and ability to learn new technology quickly.

· Excellent client service skills and ability to work on multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner and under minimal supervision.

· Flexibility and ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands.

· Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

Qualifications & Prior Experience:

· Law degree from accredited law school.

· Notary Public preferred.

· Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Proficiency with E-filing and Smart Advocate a plus
