Summary
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information, prepare financial reports, and maintain and document internal controls. Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records. Assists in the preparation of the monthly balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, internal financial reporting, and other accounting schedules and reports. Ability to manage staff and projects. Responsibilities
Participates in the monthly closing process and provides timely and accurate analysis of actual performance.
Responsible for the preparation of monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
Assists with management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization.
Works to reconcile accounting in accuracies and imbalances.
Assists in maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives, including compliance with SOX procedures, and maintaining up-to-date internal control procedures.
Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies including compliance with government cost accounting regulations.
Takes a lead role in working with auditors, both internal and external.
Prepares various monthly and annual reports required by our corporate office.
Quickly adapts to and becomes proficient with our Epicor software.
Roll up their sleeves individual – teamwork.
Assists with cost accounting functions and cycle count reporting as needed.
Can mentor other team members and be an advocate for change management.
Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive outlook.
Provides strong customer service to other departments within the organization.
Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements.
Other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met.
Ability to supervise accounts receivable, payroll, accounts payable departments, as needed.
Cross trains and assists with finance functional areas as needed – AP, AR, Payroll. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree is a business discipline, preferably Accounting. Diversified background with AP, AR, Cash Management, and payroll. Five (5) years accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment with a knowledge of cost accounting. Experience using Oracle HFM/Smartview. Excellent technical skills – Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Little to no travel required.

Effective verbal communications in English with the ability to discuss complex financial concepts in everyday language.

Strong interpersonal communication skills – ability to build strong teams.
Ability to operate a PC with knowledge of MS office products and an MRP/ERP system. Syteline ERP a plus.
Detail oriented.
Ability to analyze accounting schedules.
