Our Product Technology Solutions group within Global Retail Markets is seeking an Analyst of Product Research to join their growing and highly visible group.


The Global Retail Markets Product Technology Solutions team leads management and development of end-to-end technology solutions, technology and vendor pipeline management, testing, prototyping, and scaling of solutions or services to meet evolving customer needs and marketplace trends. The Analyst position is a hands-on role that will be heavily involved with optimizing third-party data to enable Personal Lines and Business Lines to achieve growth and profitability goals. This role will be a key contributor on the Analytics and Monitoring team, a team focused on delivering data-driven insights and recommendations through the development of monitoring reports and analytics tools that will enable the organization to manage new PL and BL data sources used in prefill, underwriting and rating processes. The role will report to the Director of Analytics and Monitoring team and help drive execution of Liberty's Product Technology Solutions team.


The qualified individual can work in Boston, Seattle, or remotely.


  • Please note: This is a grade 13-15 range posting (G13 - Analyst, G15 - Sr Analyst) and level will be determined by Hiring Manager based on individual experience.


In this role you will:

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and reporting tools to monitor and evaluate our external data sources and vendors
  • Query data to conduct moderate to high complexity analysis under general direction
  • Define reporting and alerting requirements under general direction
  • Leverage your SQL skills to maintain, expand and improve our data ETL processes
  • Help design, document, and maintain system processes and data catalogs
  • Communicate key insights, findings, and recommendations to our stakeholders
  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value and insights to our stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field
  • Minimum 1 year, typically 2 years or more of relevant experience
  • Some experience in writing SQL queries
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS)
  • Strong analytical, collaboration, organization, and presentation skills
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field.
  • Minimum 2 year's relevant experience, typically 3 years.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Emblem).
  • Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.
