Responsibilities:

  • Perform general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles
  • Complete bi-weekly payroll processing for 1099 workers and manage the 1099 payment system and year-end tax reporting
  • Leading the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions by processing invoices, verifying vendor information, and following up on outstanding payments
  • Assist with the management of cash accounts including preparing checks, deposits, and preparing account reconciliations
  • Assist with the monthly close process, including the preparation of supporting schedules
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Support the Accounting team with ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping roles
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
