Our blood drive recruitment team has a Territory Representative (Account Manager) opening in Des Moines. This Territory Representative opening, based in Des Moines, is responsible for recruiting, directing and training volunteers to organize blood drives and help secure volunteer blood donors. The Territory Representative is responsible for recruiting a specific number of donors to ensure a stable blood supply in regions where LifeServe collects blood products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruiting, directing, and training volunteers to organize blood drives that exceed monthly goals in a specific territory.

  • Establishing strategies to grow volunteer blood donor base.

  • Coordinating activities and organizational resources associated with blood drives to ensure success.

  • Conducts public speaking engagements and participates in educational workshops/presentations/health fairs for donors, chairpersons, sponsor groups, community, and civic organizations.

  • Follows all department guidelines for completion of recruiting materials, scheduling mobile blood drives regarding productivity measures, efficiency targets, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Maintaining accurate records to provide tracking and statistical data on account performance

  • Works collaboratively with mobile recruitment team to ensure weekly, monthly, and yearly blood collection goals from mobile blood drives are met.

  • Rescheduling/Cancellations of blood drives are kept to a minimum.

  • Provides excellent customer service and a positive image with chairpersons, sponsor groups, donors, volunteers, and blood center staff.

  • Drives an automobile to alternate work sites and may require some evening and weekend work if needed.

  • Maintains regular attendance and availability

  • Maintains confidentiality of LifeServe Blood Center donor, employee, financial and proprietary records, and information at all times.

A travel allowance is available based on the size and travel expectations of this territory. Applicants can expect a balance of office and home-based work.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE CONSIDERED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising, communications, or related degree. PLUS either two years of job-related recruitment, sales, fundraising, marketing and/or public relations, volunteer or event management experience OR two years of experience at LifeServe.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in related areas. PLUS either five years’ of job-related recruitment, sales, fundraising, marketing and/or public relations, volunteer or event management experience is required OR five years’ experience at LifeServe.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Day travel is required within assigned territory with some other travel as needed.
  • Current driver’s license and motor vehicle report that meets organizational insurability requirements.
  • Self-motivated and excellent time management skills to build new relationships at the same time developing current volunteers.
